Focused Skills Lab: COUNT(), SUM(), and all their friends in Excel

One video course to improve your Excel skills

It’s always useful to know how many donors are in a list, or how much money the donors in that list have given to your organization. But what if you need to know how many donors from Texas gave $1,000 or more in fiscal year 2018, or how much on average your trustees gave to the annual fund? You might be surprised that there’s a way to find out the answers to either of those questions with one simple formula.

In COUNT, SUM, and all their friends:Excel for Fundraisers, Greg Duke will unpack the many formulas Excel has hidden behind its common COUNT and SUM functions, including ways to determine averages and maximum or minimum amounts, and how to include conditional criteria for each of them. Dr. Duke will also show you how to leverage these functions to create incredibly detailed reports and gift pyramids that can be refreshed any time your data changes! Join Dr. Duke as he demonstrates how you can count on Excel to sum up your work faster and more efficiently.
